28. 10. 2005 Indiabulls is India's leading retail financial services company. With approximately 8,000 concurrent investors logged on to the Indiabulls online share trading network at any given time, there is absolutely no room for error. During peak loads, the Oracle 9i database receives approximately 1,50,000 queries per minute. In migrating this mission critical application and database infrastructure from HP Tru64 to Red Hat Enterprise Linux running on x86 servers, Indiabulls has achieved 10 times more performance at less than half the cost.

12. 12. 2005 When UTI Bank decided to setup a state of the art call center, it was looking for a robust platform that could guarantee high availability of services and ensure uninterrupted call traffic. By selecting Red Hat Enterprise Linux to power its infrastructure on low cost Intel servers, UTI Bank has received immense freedom to dynamically scale up its resources as the call volume expands. It has been one year since the call center has been up and running, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux together with Red Hat Cluster Suite have delivered 99.99% uptime so far, handling volumes of over 7000 calls per day. 23. 12. 2005 Canara Bank's TBA modernization project marks the largest deployment of Red Hat Enterprise Linux in the Indian BFSI segment till date. The telecommunications giant has setup the nation's largest televoting system on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, which handles millions of SMSes generated by viewers of popular reality TV shows - Kaun Banega Crorepati & Indian Idol. Whenever an open contest is aired on KBC and Indian Idol, millions of viewers send an SMS in a short span of just 3-4 minutes. The Enterprise Linux servers have been handling this mission critical SMS load for ten months at a stretch without a single instance of slowdown or downtime. Yatra provides travel-related information, pricing, availability and reservations for airlines, hotels, railway, buses and car rentals across 5000 large cities and small rural areas throughout India.
